EGG CALDERETA RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

  • 5 hard boiled eggs
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 medium potato, cubed
  • 1 medium carrot, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 can 85g liver spread
  • 1 pc beef broth cube
  • 1 pc red or green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 cup green peas
  • 1 cup water
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste


PROCEDURE

  1. Boil eggs for about 8 to 10 minutes for perfect hard-boiled eggs. Remove shells and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat oil, saute garlic and onions until limp.
  3. Add potatoes and stir-fry until golden brown.
  4. Add carrots and stir-fry for about 3 minutes.
  5. Add in tomato sauce and water according to desire thickness, then bring to boil.
  6. Add in beef broth cube and mix with the sauce.
  7. Add in bell pepper.
  8. Add liver spread and mix well with the sauce.
  9. Season with salt and ground black pepper according to taste.
  10. Lastly, gently stir in eggs and green peas.
  11. Cook for 3 minutes more and serve hot.
  12. Enjoy!
